从“滞纳金”英语怎么说可以学到、用到的英语

学习英语的目的就是为了“用”英语，学习英语的过程就是“用”英语的过程。

英语只有“多用”才会记得住，记得牢。

然而，怎样才能“把英语用起来”？

用英语学英语，用英语读英语，用英语理解英语，就能把英语用起来。

与之相对立的、“把英语用英语”给剥夺掉的，就是“一定要把英语翻译成中文才能知道英语是什么意思，总是要用中文才能理解”的坏习惯和“坏能力”。

看看你是不是(能不能)像下面那样做，“把英语用起来”的：

What is a late fee(滞纳金)？

1.late fee

A late fee, also known asa late fine or a past due fee, is a charge levied against a client by a company or organization for not paying a bill or returning a rented or borrowed item by its due date. Its use is most commonly associated with businesses like creditors, video rental outlets and libraries. Late fees are generally calculated on a per day, per item basis.

2.late fee

A late fee, also known as an overdue fine, late fine, or past due fee, is a charge fined against a client by a company or organization for not paying a bill or returning a rented or borrowed item by its due date.

3.late fee

A fee charged when a payment is not received on time. Some common bills which almost always have a late fee policy are credit card payments, mortgage and student loan payments, and car loan payments.

这几段英语里的“把英语用起来”的信息量很大，只是有多少人除了把它们“简化成”中文理解外，能真正“把英语用起来”？

1. by its due date：

“学习”的问题来了，你想用的词是on time，人家说by its due date，你就会问：So can I say On time instead of saying By its due date?

2.on time

A fee charged when a payment is not received on time.

读到这里，你完全可以“用”英语说英语了：

Okay.I got you. When we say： not paying a bill or returning a rented or borrowed item by its due date,we can also say：not paying a bill or returning a rented or borrowed item on time

能具备这种“用英语理解英语”，能这样来“使用”英语，你就一直(始终)处于“英语环境”之中：在英语环境中学习英语、使用英语，掌握英语哪里还来那么多“难”字？

没错，我们的英语永远都是处于一种“你用中文告诉我你说的英语中文到底是什么意思”才能懂的“初级阶段”，不论你读到多少英语，不论我用多少英语写给你看，你最终还是问一句：中文到底是什么意思嘛(才能理解)。

或许这才是我们英语学一辈子也没真正学好的根源之一(甚至没有之一)。
